Landscape sketches

 Here are some rendered sketches of landscapes that I have experienced. The top image shows a sketch of a National Garden in Ireland, that I rendered using my Christmas set of pencils. I really enjoyed experimenting with different pencil strokes and was particularly pleased with how the sky turned out. This is a feature that I would like to incorporate into my landscape sketching signature style.

The second image is of a countryside walk near my home, in Somerset. For this, I used watercolour paints. I am normally fond of this rendering method, however my paper was not thick enough. Lesson learned - good quality equipment makes a difference!
